What
makes my pet special is her eyes. That is the first thing everyone
is attracted to. She not only has pretty eyes, but she has an adorable
personality, and is not afraid to walk up nose to nose to a dog! She's a
great hunter and she's also a great cuddler and I love her very much!
She was adopted from a home who couldn't keep the ten kittens they had,
along with her sister, Bella. Sadly, Bella had passed away at a young
age, devastating Shasta, but she recovered fully and plays with us as
much as she can.
Her personality? She is very silly, crazy, adorable, and loving.
Sometimes she will be running across the house inside and around the
house outside just because she feels like it, other times she is
snuggling up with the family.
She doesn't know much tricks, but she can rarely fetch. Her favorite
games to play are "Chase the string," in which I or my sister run across
the house with a long string I made and she chases it everywhere.
Another game would be hunting. I guess you can consider hunting her
favorite game, as she is using her wild cat instincts and makes
beautiful catches, even though we do feel bad for the things she catches.
She is very affectionate, and very curious around visitors. Once the
visitors are there long enough, she treats them how she treats the
family, with love and happiness. My boyfriend is a perfect example. At
first, Shasta would do embarrassing things in front of him like run
across the house and tumble over, or what we call the "Flying Cat" in
which she leaps in between us, climbs up something, gives us a look, and
then jumps off and runs away as if nothing happened. But, after a few
weeks, she was snuggling up to him like no tomorrow, trying to get her
scent all over him.
In general she is a very loving, crazy, silly, adorable cat and I love
my little doofus so much!
