This
is Moppi, born in March 2010, who left forever in June 2013. He died of
an undiscovered heart disease and I never knew he was ill until that sad morning.
Maybe he was not special compared to other animals who can do stunning
tricks, but he was special to me. Every morning before the alarm went off he
would paw the bedroom door so I could let him in to cuddle a while before I
had to get up. He wanted to be with me all the time and started to open
doors. If I sometimes had to lock me in he waited patiently. I was always
welcome to carry him around and even to squeeze him. He did let me use him as
a pillow (he was very big, so it was no problem for him). He was never afraid
of strangers (whose bags he likes to search) and befriended the female
employees at the vet's.
He drank water from my bath tub, he chewed on my shoes. When I got a new
kitten, he got used to it after only three days and cleaned the little fellow
and played with him. He was a true 'Gentle Giant', possessing all the good
character traits that are typical in Maine Coon cats. Of all my cats, he was
the most affectionate. I think, he loved me like no other being on earth. He
is gone now and I am trying like heck to remember all the good days we had.
All his pictures will stay on my walls and he really deserves to let
everybody know what a wonderful cat he was.
