This
handsome dude is Tumbleweed, he is a Rescue cat, which is of course the
best kind. Tumbleweed is just as special as all the other cats out there. I
could gush about how he begs for food or how he wakes me in the morning and
all of that is important to me, and appreciate it. I did start to write about
that but it brought back memories of writing about Moonlight the Stray. Tumbleweed and I have come a long way in the ten months that we have
been together but he and I think words from a song decades past may give your
daily readers some reflection on their pets.
I'm a roaming cowboy riding all day long,
Tumbleweeds around me sing their lonely song.
Nights underneath the prairie moon,
I ride along and sing this tune.
See them tumbling down
Pledging their love to the ground
Lonely but free I'll be found
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
Cares of the past are behind
Nowhere to go but I'll find
Just where the trail will wind
Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
I know when night has gone
That a new world's born at dawn.

Tumbleweed the kitty is no longer roaming around, but safe in my home with
me. He spends his time guarding his cactus garden, or just being a handsome,
loved kitty indoors. We wish the same for all cats out there, and hope you
will give a rescue kitty a chance!
