When I lost my dog Kornflake in 2009 I got Snagglepoose so that Sugar Pop the cat would have company because she was used to being with Kornflake. She barely tolerated poor Snagglepoose for a while, but I guess decided that she might as well get used to having him around. (Sadly, in July, 2017, she went over the Rainbow Bridge).
He was five months old when I rescued him from a local lady that normally had just dogs to find homes for. A friend of mine told her I was looking for a cat. He was a skinny little thing, and hid for a few days. He would hide when someone would come over, and wasn't and still isn't a "lap cat.” He decides when he wants his cuddles and love. In the middle of the night, it's not a surprise to feel this moose of a cat using my body as a catapult to get off the bed. He's now a big healthy 20-ish pound cat. And his purr is as loud as a Harley Davidson! I love my Snagglepoose.
