We adopted Hudson at CarMah cat rescue in Hudson, Massachusetts shortly after Hurricane
Sandy hit the east coast in October of 2012. He was found on Long Island in a debris
pile and was a tiny cat, lost among the rubble. He was shipped north to be adopted.
We had recently lost a young Abyssinian cat that had to be put down for advanced
kidney disease and we said, "No more pure breeds! No more cats."
Initially, we had wanted a kitten. But then we saw Hudson's photo online and we fell for him. Those eyes! But would he want us? CarMah had a pet psychic connect with Hudson and ask him whether or not he thought it would work between my husband and me and Hudson. We met him in person and it was done.
Hudson loves our older Abbyssinian, Nutmeg. He tortures her with love, outweighing her by seven pounds (3.17 kg)! He has a favorite toy we call Krinkle mouse. He carries it around in his mouth and drops it in any open container of water. He hardly ever meows, but grunts whenever his favorite people approach him. He is constantly near the windows, patrolling our birds feeders and looking around the yard for other cats and squirrels.
I call him my Budddy, Buds, Budson. I seem to be his favorite person, but he just loves any woman. I'll take what I can get.
